Advantages of Technology

Bifacial monocrystalline PERC PV Modules come as double -glass or glass with a transparent backsheet. High-efficiency PERC solar cells absorb sunlight from both the front and the back end of the PV module. Due to this design advantage, all the valuable sunlight is captured on both sides of the PV module as well as any diffused light that hits the back of the solar cell. As a result, bifacial PV modules absorb more sunlight and provide higher efficiency than monofacial PV modules.

Our bifacial PV module with PERC cell technology (passivated emitter and rear cell) uses dielectric passivation film on the rear surface of the cells. Thus, in PERC cells, the front surface absorbs sunlight while the rear surface absorbs the scattered or reflected light. This results in higher generation than their counterparts due to higher light absorption and internal reflectivity.

The higher the bifacial PV module is tilted, the more power it produces from its bifacial features. Bifacial PV modules mounted flush to a rooftop block any reflected light from reaching the backside of the PV cells. That is why bifacial PV modules perform better on flat commercial, residential rooftops and ground-mounted utility-scale or large commercial systems because there is more room for tilt and bouncing reflected light to the rear of the PV modules.

solar panel
More energy production

Utilizing the both sides of the PV module to produce more solar-powered electricity. Hence, Bifacial PV Modules actively increase the overall production efficiency of the system.

solar panel
Less space and PV module requirements

Since both sides of the PV module generates electricity, fewer PV modules and less space required to meet your energy goals.

solar panel
Long-term durability

The tempered glass increases the light-absorbing capacity and also gives a sounding edge in terms of overall durability.

solar panel
Excellent performance

When the front side of the PV Module is affected by the bad weather, the rear side continues to work efficiently unaffected by the challenging weather.

solar panel
Beatiful aesthetics

Dual glass or glass with transparent back Bifacial PV Modules can really add to the aesthetic appeal of a skylight, backyard pergola carports

solar panel
Installation flexibility

With a Bifacial PV Module, there is no need to worry about any particular angle for installation. The Bifacial PV Modules are suitable for any position without worrying about the efficiency of the system

Bifacial PV Module Double Glass

FAQs

YBOPTOTECH has 3 series of solar module products: YB-S3,YB-S4,YB-S5. and each series contains bifacial and monofacial module. YB-S3 and 54-cell type YB-S4 is mainly used on industrial, commercial and residential roofs. Both bifacial and monofaical of YB-S5 with 72-cell is mainly for large ground-mount power plants.

Bifacial modules are slightly more expensive than monofacial modules, but can generate more power under the right conditions. When the rear side of the module is not blocked, the light received by the rear side of the bifacial module can significantly improve energy yield. In addition, the glass-glass encapsulation structure of the bifacial module has better resistance to environmental erosion by water vapor, salt-air fog, etc. Monofacial modules are more suitable for installations in mountainous regions and distributed generation rooftop applications.

YBOPTOTECH took the lead in working with domestic and foreign institutions and customers to carry out empirical testing of bifacial modules for PV power plants, systematically studying the power generation mechanisms of bifacial modules. YBOPTOTECH also leads the industry in bifacial module shipments, surpassing 20 GW+, while providing customers with reference data and technical support.

YBOPTOTECH has the largest module production capacity in the industry, with more than 65 GW in its integrated capacity network fully guaranteeing the supply of modules. In addition, the production network facilitates the global distribution of modules with the help of land transportation, railway transportation and sea transportation.

YBOPTOTECH launched Life-cycle Standards to guarantee the whole life-cycel quality.YBOPTOTECH’s Integrated capacity layout can guarantee the traceability of each module, and our highly automated production lines feature end-to-end inspection and analysis processes to ensure that each module meets the highest quality standards. We select module materials according to the highest standards, with the requirement that all new materials be subject to extended qualification and reliability tests before being incorporated into our products. Third-party labs like RETC and PVEL have ranked our modules among the highest quality products on the market.
